I call these pieces Modern Chinese. The aim was to create a shape based on Chinese Celadon bowls and Stem Cups that's production could be semi mechanised and would allow for diverse surface treatment, allowing every piece to be unique.
Extensive research and development was undertaken into glazes, glaze application and impressed decoration.
The pieces are formed using a manual Jigger Jolly. The impressed decoration is carved into the plaster moulds.
Glazes where applied by a variety of techniques such as dipping, spraying, splashing, etc.
